Stop that Stomach Bug Right in it's Tracks! (Every Mama Should Know This!)

It's that time of year again! Yes, the holidays are quickly approaching, but I'm talking about that oh so wonderful stomach bug that seems to knock everyone out. It totally stinks and we all wish that we could just keep it from being passed around and far away from our families.

Two words: GRAPE JUICE. 

I know it might sound a little bizarre, but trust me on this. IT WORKS! If you're anything like me, just the thought of someone throwing up makes you want to throw up. A few years ago, I did a Google search on “preventing the stomach flu.” I found a post from Kristi over on i should be mopping the floor . I was skeptical that something so simple could really work, but we completely escaped the stomach flu that year and I attribute it to the 100% Grape Juice.

Kristi recommends  drinking a glass a day all during the winter months and then upping it to two or three when you know you or someone in your family may have been exposed to the bug.
She also suggests that adults put 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar in theirs. I've never personally done that. Grape juice is really high in sugar so we just drink a glass a day when we know the stomach flu is going around.
I started making my kids chug down the grape juice a few days ago and the nasty stomach bug is already making it's way around the schools. So far, no one has fallen victim and I hope to KEEP IT THAT WAY! There really is something magical about the acidity in the grape juice and those nasty little stomach bugs don’t like it.
When you purchase your miraculous grape juice, make sure you get the pure stuff. 100% Grape Juice, don’t get light, don't get white, no "essentials", no cocktails. Just plain ol’ 100% Grape Juice.
